How to Create a Mobile-Friendly Website Without Stress

Everyone likes mobile-friendly, easy-to-navigate mobile websites, but no one likes to keep late hours coding and testing. Luckily, there’s a way to bypass the technicalities associated with optimizing your website for mobiles, which is using one of the popular website builders. Just make sure the web service you choose offers this option, sign up and get a mobile-friendly website in a matter of minutes.

Because site constructors range in price, ease-of-use, feature sets and other aspects, it’s highly advisable to weed out those that can’t meet your unique requirements. The good news is that I‘ve already done some work for you – below is a list of the website builders that to my mind are the most suitable for creating mobile-optimized websites.

Webydo

Webydo is a feature-laden web design suite offering you a set of advanced web building tools in a simple cover. Its intuitive, code-free designing/editing interface creates a very friendly, inspiring atmosphere that helps you concentrate on your site’s visual appeal instead of writing codes and fixing issues associated with site administration. Everything works out of the box there – all you need is just to create, drag, drop and save :). Webydo promises to update your website’s cross-platform code to the latest industry standards, including mobile and tablet view.

Zoho Sites

The guys who have developed Zoho Sites know what easy and affordable should really mean. So, you’re looking to build a mobile-optimized website? This won’t cost you a cent with Zoho Sites, since every website created within the system is automatically optimized for tablets and phones. You can preview the way your website will be displayed on these devices in your Mobile Preview. Furthermore, you’ll be able to modify the view using their easy, point-and-click tools.

Wix

Wix has recently added a new feature to their HTML5 editor – Optimized Mobile View. It works on the same principle as on Zoho Sites: just open your Mobile Editor, rearrange the buttons, resize, rotate or hide visual elements and click the Publish button. Those Wix customers who already have an optimized version of their sites, are highly recommended to switch to the freshly introduced Mobile Editor in order to improve their SEO efforts. By enabling the Optimized Mobile View these users will get a unified URL both for mobile and desktop versions which is of great importance (the traffic won’t longer be split between two URls, but directed into a single web address).

Weebly

Weebly, one of the oldest website builders in the market, also offers a Mobile View editing option to their clients. After the major overhaul of the Weebly dashboard in May 2013, Weebly is now boasting one of the most comprehensible Mobile Editors implemented in the form of a mock up (see the screenshot). The mobile and desktop versions are always in sync, whether you make updates to your main site or its optimized version.
